PDP stalwart and Chairman, Oyo Pacesetters Transport Company, Dare Adeleke has said that those flying unfounded rumours that he has been dropped as a delegate at the party convention, are nothing but mischief makers.
Adeleke who is also a staunch supporter and ally of Oyo State Governor, Egnr. Seyi Makinde, stated that he has been a solid member of the PDP and has served in different categories and capacities over the years.
Disputing the rumours as the handiwork of “empty political jobbers”, Adeleke who was speaking from his base in Ibadan, Oyo State, while re-iterating his loyalty to Governor Seyi Makinde said:
“I am still a statutory delegate at the PDP National Convention.
Those flying the silly rumour that my name was dropped are truant political jobbers.”
“It is on record that I have been a National Delegate since 1998 when the PDP was formed.
I have been a staunch member of the PDP from the inception of the party.
“As a matter of fact, I have been a National delegate, since the formation of the party till date. I led the delegate to Jos convention in 1998 as the acting State Secretary, State Youth Leader and South-West Zonal Youth Leader respectively. Even up till the last convention in Port Harcourt.
According to the Pacesetters boss, the so called fake news that he was dropped should be disregarded by the people of Oyo State.
“I would advice everyone to disregard the fake news.
As a matter of fact, records cannot be erased and those who think their utterances and evil thoughts can tamper with the archives are only smart by half.
Can they wipe out the fact that I am a double delegate earner, having held national and zonal positions in different capacities? I am a bonafide PDP member and will remain so.
Adeleke while pledging his support for Governor Seyi Makinde said:
“I am full of thanks to our Leader and the Shinning Star of the SouthWest, His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, who found me worthy to be nominated as a member of the Electoral committee, the highest committee that shoulders the responsibility of the convention.
I am indeed indebted to our Governor and my leader, Pride of the South West.
PDP! Power to the people”
