The Executive Chairman, Oyo State Pacesetter Transportation Services, Hon. Dare Adeleke, has been honoured with an award of excellence by the Prime Media Group. Adeleke’s unequalled performance in office and his unalloyed support for Governor ‘Seyi Makinde led government in the state, qualified him for the special award.
The event, which held at the conference room of the agency was greeted with commendations from many present, describing the person of Hon. Adeleke as a man who works his talk.
Responding on the investiture, the elated Peoples Democratic Party, PDP stalwart in the state said: “When you are given such honour, you must humble yourself and try to exhibit what I describe as Omoluabi, so that you would not be a disappointment to those that look up to you.”
It is something of joy to be bestowed with an honour like this. Having said this, I will say again that I am flabbergasted. But why should it be me alone?”
“I also want to thank God that today, the Pacesetter Transport Service is a place that one would wish to be and a wonderful transportation system to reckon with in Nigeria. We are independent as a company and not under the government.”
It is whatever we generate here we use to service the vehicles, pay the salaries of our staff. We work hard to meet up with governor Makinde’s drives in the state. Without the Governor’s support, it would have been impossible to achieve these feats.
“The GSM drive is to make sure Oyo State is progressing and he is doing his best. I have never seen a governor like that in my life. He is very selfless and do what he is supposed to do without expecting any commendation from anyone. And that is what we are doing here as well.”
“So, this award belongs to God and my team not to be alone. I want to appreciate the group that has bestowed us this honour. We cherish it so much. We have received much honours but this is more important to us here.”
