The Electronic Media Content Owners Association of Nigeria (EMCOAN) during their election which took place on ThursdayApril 7, 2022 reelected Mrs. Jibe Ologeh forthe second tenure as the president of the association. EMCOAN which boasts ofcontrolling over 80% of electronic broadcast content in Nigeria has been at the forefront of churning out majority of the contents on
television and Radio stations pan Nigeria. Other members of the newly elected executives were
–Theophilus Akatugba–Vice president, Stephen Alayande–General Secretary,Ugwu Chinedu – PRO, Akpezi Anita Agarry-Oke, Financial Secretary and Longe Omolaja as social welfare officer.
In her acceptance speech, Mrs Ologeh expressed deep appreciations for the confidence reposed in her by the re-election for another tenure of 2year. She promised that with their usual support and co-operation, EMCOAN will soar to higher heights. It could be recalled that it was in her first tenure that EMCOAN became recognized as a sectoral body of the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria(APCON).
The Electronic Media Content Owners Association ofNigeria(EMCOAN) also elected High Chief Emeka Ossai as a new member of the Board of Trustees(BOT).
High Chief Ossai is a veteran in the media and broadcast content industry with many productions to his credit. He is one of the core founders of the association and has been very instrumental to the success stories of EMCOAN. Other members of the BOT include Mrs. Agatha Amata and Chief Opa Williams.
