Turkish Airline stops ticket purchase in naira, Nigerian passengers to now pay with US dollars 

Turkish Airlines has commenced issuing tickets in US Dollars and no more in Naira, Nigeria’s local currency. This is according to a message sent to its partners by the airline on Thursday. Recall in April, the airlines alongside other airlines through APG Interline E-Ticketing (IEG) said passengers will no longer be able to buy tickets in naira in the coming months. NCAA suspends Dana Air operations with immediate effect

The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has suspended Dana Airlines’ Air Transport Licence (ATL) and Air Operator Certificate (AOC) indefinitely, with effect from midnight of Wednesday, July 20, 2022. The Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPA), has faulted the recent increase in airfare by Nigerian airlines, describing the action as illegal and against the anti-competition law.
